Facts

1.  A 2% return on a new list is outstanding;

2.  98% of the people that you email will REJECT YOU in the beginning;

3.  Some people that you email will reject you and then respond to your offer rudely.

As the Japanese say, “fail seven times but stand up eight”.

The Guru gave me the following advice and it has made my business model bullet proof.

When I was a young man in my early twenties and full of ambition and bravado, I would often announce my grand plans for success to the world and then fail to follow through on them.

When you start your own on line business, anyone that you tell about the business is waiting for you to fail.

My advice is to plot your course carefully and plan the things you need to do each day to reach your goals.

In the beginning your on line journey will not result in huge successes that you can legitimately talk about so take baby steps and with every thing that you accomplish on line put file notes into your goggle diary (refer to lesson Seven  ) and also remember to keep a screen shot diary lesson of each thing you achieve on line no matter how small.

By keeping a record of your achievements, events like the ones detailed in the list below will grow your confidence quickly.

1. Your first affiliate product sale and commission;

2. First accepted article;

3. Your first website;

4. Your forum posts that proves popular;

Financial milestones i.e. $1000 in sales in a month, $4000 sales in a month.

If you choose to be the boy that cried wolf rather then treating your Internet Marketing business seriously and learning each step required for success in detail, you will risk looking rather silly to all the spectators in your life.

Please, please understand that this is a journey that could take you some months of dedication before the pot holes in the road begin to disappear and the road starts to become a smooth highway to success.

If you have not heard about Seth Godin’s “Squidoo” it is a brilliant concept.

Particularly if you are trying to establish or grow your online presence and build a profile for your brand or as an individual.

Squidoo allows you to build mini websites called lenses about anything that you like.

1. Affiliate programs that you wish to promote;

2. yourself or your business;

3. a special offer or a FREE report to grow your list.

I have built over one hundred Squidoo lenses and they all have back links to websites that bring me free traffic.
