What are "off page" keywords?   How to Use them for “Off Page” Search Engine Optimization

 - “There is more than one way to skin a cat”

In Part One the Guru told us about getting keywords and key phrases on page in other words, on our own web sites.

It was now 1.20 am and my beautiful wife and little kids were fast asleep upstairs but there was more to take notes on.

No wonder Guru J had been so successful.  I had skyped him what I thought was a simple question.  And yes he did slap me for its

simplicity but then wrote me a two page response.  What an awesome mentor.  Anyway, let’s read it now.

Off Page Keyword Strategies

Guru J listed the following I.O Get Links from other sites with your key phrases (ref: off page):

1.  Buy links from link brokers but only buy PR6 or PRJ links as they provide value.

2.  Submit articles to good article directories like www.ezinearticles.com

They allow you to link your site with keyword links in the resource box at the bottom of your article.

3.  Submit your website to directories and have it listed in the appropriate category. 

4.  Place comments on blogs that are about your subjects but remember to link to the correct page on your website that matches the content.

5.  Search for other web masters in your niche and submit your articles to them with incoming links with anchor text.

6.  Always put a link in the footer of your emails so users can click on your website link. 

7.  Use your signature on the forums (refer to Lesson Seventeen) to link back to your site from relevant content. 

So, in summing up, off page search engine optimization is all about links pointing back to your website from good quality sources.  The more good quality links coming in to your website using the right keywords and phrases the higher your website will rank for the keywords you have chosen.
